Kidney Cancer Settlements Are Expected to Be High

Another type of exposure that can increase the risk of kidney cancer is asbestos. Asbestos inhalation has been linked to lung cancer, mesothelioma and other malignancies. Asbestos can also cause genetic mutations in the kidneys, which can lead to cancer.

Some risk factors can be changed but others cannot. Smokers are more at risk of developing kidney cancer. If a patient has a risk factor, or several it is still recommended to visit their doctor regularly for screening and treatment.
