In some instances, a diagnostic imaging test is used to determine the location of the leukemia. A computed tomography scan (CT) can determine whether leukemia has been found in lymph nodes of the chest, abdomen or pelvis. It is crucial to be aware that the risk of getting this type of leukemia may increase with long-term exposure to herbicides. CLL is more common among railroad workers who are exposed to herbicides such as 2,4-D or paraquat.  |
