BNSF Railway Allies With Competitors

What We Do

Most people think of steam locomotives from the past cruising through endless miles of track. However, the reality is that modern railroads are more efficient and technologically advanced than before.

One team from BNSF is working behind the scenes to ensure these advances continue. Its Operations Research and Advanced Analytics Team develops tools to provide BNSF leaders with the information they require to make informed decisions about everything from train crew schedules to track and equipment upkeep. Their work has already helped BNSF save millions of dollars.

BNSF is the second largest railroad network in the United States. Its railways span 30000 miles, spanning more than 30 states and Canada. Our Histories

For the past 30 years, BNSF manager Sales Omar Shakoor has been focusing on establishing relationships with industrial product customers and developing teams to accomplish this.
