Laryngeal Cancer and the Railroad Reactive Airway Disease

Cancers of the larynx are called squamous cell carcinomas. They develop slowly and usually are not detected by the patient.

Signs and symptoms

Treatment

The prognosis for cancer of the larynx depends on how big it appears when diagnosed, the location it is located in the larynx and whether it has spread. It is also dependent on the kind and grade (how abnormal the cancer cells look under a microscope) of the cancer.

The squamous cell lining the throat is where the laryngeal cancer of railroads usually begins. The early stages of these tumors are not likely to spread.
