The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is a good option if you are on a budget and don't require a stroller which can also be used as a car seat carrier. It has a flip-flop friendly one-step footbrake.

It's also easy to push and feels solid when navigating kerbs or woodland pathways. It's also easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a name as the most lightweight buggy for city dwellers and jet-setters alike, due to its super nimble manoeuvrability and foldable design that can be tucked away in aeroplane overhead luggage. This latest version boasts independent suspension on all four wheels made from Hytrel elastomer to 'perfectly navigate across all types of surfaces and terrain'.

The curved fabric bassinet, base YOYO2 frame and 6months of colour pack are combined to create a chic pushchair with a subtle, elegant aesthetic. The base frame alone weighs less than a kilo and is so light that you can lift it directly from the box (and do it using one hand).

The hood, for example, snaps on the YOYO2 in a reassuring manner. It is machine washable at 30 degrees which helps avoid the stains that result from smushed carrot puffs and rice cakes. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as prams. It can also be transformed into a stroller at 6 months with the YOYO connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great option for parents who are looking for a stroller that can be used in a variety of ways. It can be converted from a stroller to a wagon by simply turning the handle, meaning parents can choose which mode they prefer on their adventure. The wagon can hold two or more children from 6 months up to 5 years old, and it has a wide storage basket for everything you require on the go.

The Xplore has dual canopies which are able to rotate from front to back, ensuring adequate sun protection for all family members. It has a smaller footprint than some wagons. This isn't suitable for long trips or naps.

The frame on the Xplore feels sturdy and solid, although it does not have the same flexibility as other wagons we tried. It is also more difficult than other wagons to fold and it isn't able to lock securely once folded. It is easy to move however, and it is able to fit through narrow 28 inches doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great option for parents who are looking for a second stroller that's affordable. It scored high in our Strollers and Multiples Test for weight and fold dimensions, meaning it is lightweight, compact when folded, and easy to move and store into a car trunk. It also has a multi-position reclining seat and a cup holder for the parent. Other important features include two large hanging storage bags and 360-degree front wheels that are shock-absorbing.

In our test of push and turn it performed better than many of the other cheap strollers we test, but it's not the most comfortable to maneuver on uneven terrain or through narrow doors. The sunshades it has were among the smallest strollers we test. They only cover the top of the stroller and do not feature peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 has a more extensive canopy.

The Delta took us just under 3 minutes to put together using an average manual and all of the components required tools. It is missing some features that we consider essential in a double stroller. This includes an extra-large basket, reclining seats and leg rests that can be adjusted.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is the newest model in Maxi-Cosi's range of pushchairs and is billed as an urban travel system. It is suitable from birth until around 3.5-years-old. The seat and carrycot can be converted easily with only a few clicks. It can also be used with Maxi-Cosi capsule car seats and comes complete with the light Mico 30 infant car seat, a stay-in-car base and a reversible baby carriage.

It's really easy to maneuver and the one-hand recline of the seat as well as the huge shopping basket make it simple for parents to get their child out and in quickly. This compact pushchair can handle every day bumps and doors effortlessly.

The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward position, or they can rotate. This is helpful for navigating through rough terrain. When we walked through the stony trail, we let them swivel and it did this quite well, though it did appear slightly bumpier than other models on test.

It's heavier than other strollers we've tried, but because it has composite wheels made of rubber it feels solid and well-constructed. It is easy to maneuver on different terrains and even with two kids, a shopping bag and other things.

Both the seat and the carrycot come with hoods that are able to be lower to reveal a UV50and sun canopy extension. They are strong and waterproof, unlike other hoods for prams that can be blown back onto toddlers faces.

It's not the biggest of storage space, but it does have a big basket that's deep enough for a changing bag as well as plenty of groceries. It can also be linked with the Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a traveling system for infants up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters are sold separately). The canopy/seat has two large sun visors that are either fixed or flipped out. Both are UPF50+. However the toggle closure isn't ideal - it's not as silent as Velcro and may wake napping babies.

The Duet is a angled stroller that can be used by twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seat and some carrycots. In twin mode the seats can be facing one another or be turned around to face the parents, theoretically cutting down on sibling fights over who sits with mom and dad.
