![]() Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab. He evaluates and tests cleaning appliances, focusing on robot hoover vacuums and mopping combos. Multitaskers are a great option for those looking to cross mopping off the to-do list. Some models have superior mapping and obstacles avoidance. Some even wash and refill mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean. The Eufy S1 Pro If you're looking for a robot vacuum that also mops then this is the model to look for. It's smaller than other models on this list making it easier to navigate in tight corners and under furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar that combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it the best navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery that can last up to 170 minutes when mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It will even return to its dock to replenish its battery mid-clean. It's extremely efficient and does an outstanding job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways with only one sweep. Its suction motor of 8,000pa will quickly pick up sand, dirt, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects rugs and the double side brush assists in removing debris from corners. The mopping efficiency is less impressive, though not by much. The mop rotates quickly and makes use of 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a little more than other robots. This is helpful in tight corners or on baseboards. Those same front arms can also be used to clean larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys and fallen books. The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've used. It doesn't make the same volume of sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform mopping and is separate from the vacuum. It's simple to set up and performs well however it's something you'll have to keep an eye on in case you're purchasing this vacuum solely for the purpose of it mopping. The Roborock Q Revo The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a variety of features. The device comes with an efficient cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This enables it to map out your home and detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean efficiently and effectively. This ensures a thorough and consistent clean and is also quick. In terms of mopping, the Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads are capable of reaching many different surface areas. This includes corners, baseboards and other difficult to reach places. They also come with a stretchy side brush that can extend to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. Additionally, the mop pads can be washed and dried to avoid build-up and lessen the smell. Another notable feature is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction level and select either a back-and-forth or a random pattern. You can also alter the number of passes it should make, which will determine the speed at which the device can move through your home. You can also disable the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and carpets. The device is costly, however it has many useful features. However, it's important to note that it incurs periodic costs, such as mopping supplies and maintenance. For example, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pads must be changed every three months. This robot vacuum that mops has an excellent rating on Amazon and includes a broad array of physical automation features. The vacuum also has a power button which doubles as a 'Clean button' and a 'Home button to send it back home after cleaning. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically empties the dustbin, refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dry its mop pads. The Shark Matrix Plus The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone who wants to keep their home clean without spending too much time on chores. It's a top-performing device, intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that makes it easy to keep your home tidy with minimal effort. The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, which means it can handle both vacuuming and mopping. It has two modules: a dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping unit with microfiber pads that snap in and out of place. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming might seem a bit outdated however, they mean you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the water tank. Our test participants discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its accurate floorplan map which it uses to create an outline for cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' or virtual barriers that prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mopping. The Matrix Plus also did a amazing job of picking up hair from pets. It was able to capture a lot of the hair that sheds from our cats. It even got into some of the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots have struggled. It was fairly quiet and even had some nice jingles that let you know when it was beginning or finished its work. Its main drawbacks were its simplistic app and the need to switch between the modules to switch between mopping and vacuuming. The app isn't able to hold multiple maps, which can be a hassle if you have a home with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want an intelligent robot vacuum cleaners reviews that is capable of mopping and vacuuming. The Yiko X1 Omni The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, but it also has distinct features that are worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni is most notable for its massive dock that doubles as an charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses a 2.5-liter dustbin and a 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters. The base also has a number of control buttons that allow you to manually start a cleaning task or recall the robot or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a great feature for parents worried about their kids messing around with the vacuum. Like other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni uses its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at finding objects. Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni could occasionally get caught up in obstacles, like the power cord that is draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and ceases to function until you manually free it. Although this is not a common occurrence but it was a very frustrating experience when it happened and especially because the X1 Omni does not have an "stuck" status alert on its app. Another potential downside is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad apart from the fact that mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between use and can cause mildew or mold. The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a big departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing view in a market that is dominated by bulky, boxy units. |
