World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading

The ability to upgrade items allows players to increase the strength of their armor, weapons, and trinkets. It requires the appropriate currency and items to be spent at an item upgrader NPC.

For instance for a weapon, one that is linked to the default upgrade template for a weapon can gain 3% in attack damage each time it is upgraded. The percentage value it receives is based on the stat value.

Recycled Items

Reroll tokens

Leveling

The upgrade system for items allows players to increase their stats by upgrading their weapons, armor and helms. Each item can be upgraded only once per level, and the upgrade cost is dependent on the current tier and the augmentation level.

Every time a player improves an item an item, a random bonus is added. This bonus increases your chance of a critical hit or can add small amounts of damage to your attack or spell.
