World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.

For instance a weapon that has the upgrade template ending in % will take on an attack damage of 3% each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost rises with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons, and trinkets to provide an extra stat boost or effect when they're used. They can be acquired through crafting, purchasing from vendors trading, or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be applied to equipment that has a slot. The item must be at least upgraded to a blue level before a component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a particular kind of upgrade items component that is that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment and some of the non-ascended back items. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging equipment from the ascended state or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can include a suffix or prefix, modifying the name of the equipment to the upgrade (for instancefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, which allows players to make stronger versions of the equipment with the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than is required to reach the same level of upgrade using normal methods.

A 'boost' upgrade can change the attack or defence attributes of the weapon or armor. These upgrades can be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear, or by purchasing them from the cash store for 500 upgrade item crystals each.

Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of the item upgrade will be revealed during the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue upgrading their gear, even if they're unsure of the extent to which it will improve following a subsequent reset.

The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process may be expensive, and there is a significant risk that the item may become obsolete or even break when it fails. A unsuccessful upgrade could destroy Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded Item upgrader kit. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the risk of failure. Certain upgrades also provide the player a bonus if they are they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade elements that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, and include any existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as possible up to 15 levels.

It is commonplace to see in the final game that placing Glyphs is the most effective method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded straight to level 15 and offer an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to get higher nodes faster.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without restriction. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and re-placed with a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can replace it with a different Glyph with the same rank or a higher rank, which will boost the value of the glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of a Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that can boost the stats of a particular set of nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats based on the Glyph.

Utilizing a Glyph will boost all the nodes that are connected to it, and you should aim to place your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. Druids, for example, should place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might be able to place them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The upgrade system of items allows players to increase the stats of specific items by introducing upgraded components. This is often referred to as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of 385. Each level of an item requires a different number of components to be reached and the costs for upgrading increase as the item is upgraded.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or bought from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used for leveling up an item. Once enough points are earned you will be able to claim your upgrade and get its extra bonuses.

When an individual player upgrades an item the original item will be replaced with a new item. The same armor will be upgraded to the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will have a unique bonus. This could be a disadvantage in that the item upgrader mod could become more expensive even if you do not require it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, provided that the player has enough tokens in order to do so. This will cause the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will have the level 1 base, and a completely different set of bonus bonuses. This can be useful, but should not be repeated often since it can be a waste of resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled several times which increases their value and allowing the player to customize their equipment. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or swims like dolphins). It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time increasing the max roll by a factor of 10. This item is highly useful in PvP. A perfectly rolled version could be worth up to 50x the value of a unupgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The item upgrader allows players to increase the level of their equipment (armor, weapons trinkets, and armor) beyond ilvl385 by handing over the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrading armor set pieces will also increase the defense base of that piece, while upgrading weapons will increase the base damage and the strength and dexterity required to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

All items can be upgraded a maximum of five times, with the exception of hero gear, which can have eight upgrades. Each time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it is at risk of failing. The rate of failure increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures can result in the item reverting to its initial state which means that the player has to pay for more materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an Best item upgrade is not upgraded, the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. The item will also lose any bonuses it gained, such as crit chance attack damage, other effects (such as increased heal over time or the speed of reloading). However, the user can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that, when a weapon gains an increase in crit chance the increase is applied before any increase in attack damage. Slots is a new attribute that has been added to the definitions of items. The value is calculated every time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to the value of the base item. For instance an item that is commonplace could have five upgrades at a cost. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero quality items have a lower cost per upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading than standard gear--for instance, they might require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. Whatever the case, players will need to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. Each upgrade of equipment requires different amounts of upgrade ingredients in addition to the expenses that are listed above.
