WoW Upgrades - The Item level upgrade Upgrader

Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases the item level by +3. A random extra substat is also added to each upgrade.

The more modernized gear generally has a more value in trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or a very high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect model.

Recycle Points

The item upgrading upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapons. However, the item used to upgrade will remain in use for a long time and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to the enchantments.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase tools, armor, weapon and accessory upgrades.
