Easy to Fold

The most effective combinations we've tested fold easily in one hand and are durable enough to withstand long walks. They are also easy to maneuver and glide smoothly over uneven surfaces. We've seen a few combinations that can only be joined or disengaged using straps which may seem like an extra step and make it more difficult for parents to ensure that the car seat is secured properly.

The Baby Jogger City Mini GT 2 Combo and the Thule Urban Glide 2 have also scored very well in our tests of ease-of-use. Both have one front wheel that's simple to push (one-handed! ) and a versatile swivel front wheel which is ideal for shopping and running the errands. The only downside is that they're quite heavy and it can be difficult to lift them up when carrying a child in the car seat.

Easy to Assemble

Some car seat and stroller combinations are difficult to put together. We found that the UPPAbaby Cruz v2 Combo was one of the most simple to put together, and it comes with a handy quick-start guide which makes putting this system together easy. Other models, like the UPPAbaby Minu and UPPAbaby Vista V2 Thule urban Glide 2 in 1 pushchair with car seat and Baby Trend Snap-N-Go EX Universal were also easy to assemble. The BOB Revolution Flex 3.0 Combo, on the other hand isn't easy to put together. It requires two steps to attach the lower anchors as well as using straps to cover the bottom of the carrier. It's also very heavy, which means it takes two hands to snap the carrier into the base, then detach it from there.

In our tests, it took us about 5 minutes to put the UPPAbaby v2 together, which is a bit quick when you consider how much time it saves by not having to take out each piece. The toddler seat can be put together and removed with ease on most of these models.
