UPVC Replacement Door Handles

Over time, the handles on your doors will wear down and need to be changed. When doing this it is crucial that the new handles are in line with the critical dimensions of the handle that was previously used.

The three measurements to be inspected are the top screw's location the lever and key hole dimensions. Refer to the size guide for assistance with this.

Inline Lever/Lever

A lever handle or lever is a contemporary door handle designed to work with new or replacement upvc door handle doors. This kind of handle is available in various styles and finishes. For example, external doors should be fitted with a higher security cylinder, while internal doors can be secured with the standard cylinder. Additionally, certain cylinders have extra features that increase security, for instance anti-drill and anti-bump characteristics.

To make sure that the euro cylinder is the right size for your door, it should be measured accurately. The cylinder needs to be measured from the central screw hole to the ends of the cylinder. This includes the thumb turn, if there is one. If you cannot measure using the lock in its position, you can remove it. A cylinder that is protruding beyond the handle and escutcheon could be vulnerable to attacks such as snapping locks, so it is essential that it's not too long.

Previously a lot of handles did not have a spring built into them, and without it they tend to droop or drop when the locking mechanism is disengaged. The addition of this simple element is one of the best methods to correct this and it is also a great way to prevent your doors made of upvc from becoming stuck in the open or closed position, as they are not always easy to manually close by hand.

The spring cassettes were made to be used with sprung multipoint locks. They will not fit handles that are not sprung, and you will have to cut a hole in your backplate in order for them to fit. They are fitted with an elongated square that can accommodate an 8mm spindle, and are available in a variety of.
