Best All Terrain Stroller

If you like to go for an exercise, hike on trails that are rocky or stroll through grassy parks then an all-terrain stroller is the best choice. You will want big, sturdy tires with suspension that can handle the rough terrain.

Three-wheelers are a great option for a stroller that is light and can also handle more rough terrain. The Thule Shine is an excellent option, and we've have named it a previous winner in this category. It's a bit more costly than our other choices but it feels solid, and has many features (car seat compatible! Dual cup holders! This makes it a worthwhile purchase. It can also be folded to fit into the overhead bin of an airplane which makes it a great option for families who travel frequently.

She along with the rest of our team of product testers test each stroller by running, pushing, folding and lifting them to evaluate their performance, comfort and usability. They're all moms, too, so they know how important a good stroller is in everyday life as well as for family outings. The BOB Sport Utility

The BOB Sport Utility is the best stroller for parents who want to get away from the main roads and exercise. This jogging stoller has pneumatic knobby wheels that are great for trail runs, and the handbrake allows you to control the downhills. It also has a top-of-the-line suspension system and a two-step folding design, and an enormous cargo basket. If you purchase the right adapters, you can use it with a child car seat.

This jogging stroller's biggest flaw is its weight and fold dimensions. It weighs 25 pounds and folds to 17,850 cubic inches, which is about average for this class of strollers. Its large footprint makes it unsuitable for tight turns and narrow trunk space. However, it does have an incredibly small handle in the rear of the storage bin that can be pulled to fold the stroller into a compact flat position.

Despite its bulk, this stroller remains easy to move around. Its front wheel has a locking mechanism that lets you change it from normal to locked jogging mode, and the handlebar is adjustable in height for different heights of parents. It also has a wide seat that can recline nearly flat, and has an enormous vinyl peek-aboo window that's easy to open and close.

Another major benefit is the Sport Utility's remarkable quality, which earned it a 9 of 10 in this measure. It has a thick frame made of aluminum, with strong connections, no rough edges and no sloppy stitching. It also has adjustable dampers that help in the smoothness of the rolling.

The Sport Utility stroller, like the other BOBs we've reviewed includes adapters for car seats that are optional. This allows you to use it with different car seats for infants. In our tests, it took around 5:24 minutes to assemble the stroller from packing it up before it was ready to go. The assembly was easy however, you'll need a Philips screwdriver. The manual provided is well-organized and easy to follow, but it's good to keep one in your the case.

The Baby Trend Expedition

The design is crafted with safety, style and convenience in mind, this jogger features an adult tray with two cup holders, a covered storage, and a swing away tray for strollers for rough terrain children that has two cup holders. The adjustable canopy, with its peek-a-boo windows and an extra-wide ergonomically-shaped handle, provides comfort for both parents. The lockable front wheel can be unlocked when strolling and locked for jogging. The large storage basket is able to hold essential travel necessities.

In the Strollers test program at Consumer Reports, the Baby Trend Expedition Jogger is a good performer in general for the price and is rated higher than its competition in various categories. The 5-point harness folds, unfolds, adjusting backrest and engaging brakes on the wheel and infant car seat installation and removal (only compatible models) are all included. It is designed with a simple one-handed recline, which is deep enough to allow sleep. The canopy cover with an adjustable ratcheting isn't easy to use. It takes about 8 minutes to put it up and the instructions are confusing, with several languages mashed together and hard-to-understand illustrations.

The only downside for this jogger is its absence of suspension. This means that the ride will be more bumpy than other strollers that are all-terrain. This might make it more uncomfortable for toddlers, especially when they're on edge of taking having a nap. The air-filled wheels are nice however they don't offer as much cushioning as the rubber tires on more expensive strollers.

This is a great option for those who don't intend to run frequently however want to move across grass and gravel without difficulty and without issues with curbs or other obstacles. It is also a great choice for families with little space, since it folds down into a compact unit. It's lighter than many of the other joggers that we've tested, and will fit in places where some full-size strollers cannot.

Another advantage is that it is more easy to carry and lift than the larger joggers we've tested. This is especially important if you have to lift it in and out of the trunk of your car frequently or if you're constantly moving.

The Nipper Sport V4

If you're looking to find the most effective jogger for all terrain pram terrain and conditions, you should look no further than the Nipper Sport V4. This latest version of Out 'n' About's 3-wheeled jogging stroller is designed specifically for jogging and has large 16 pneumatic alloy tyres to tackle even the most difficult trails and tracks. The Nipper is also lightweight and compact, making it simple to fold and carry.

This pushchair comes with a variety of characteristics that make it perfect to tackle any type of terrain that include front suspension and a brake for the handlebar. It comes with an adjustable quilted liner that can be removed and a multi-position recline, as well a padded 5-point safety harness and a hinged bar. It's also compatible with travel systems, so you can use it with a Cybex Maxi-Cosi or Be-Safe baby car seat.

Another issue with this pushchair is the absence of a storage bin underneath the seat. It has a small shopping pouch to the rear of the seat, but it wouldn't be large enough for the size of a large bag for changing. It is very easy to open and close. Two hand-holds are needed to release the plastic catch on either side of lower frame. The red handlebar is equipped with another lock that can be opened by using only one hand.
