A three wheel pushchairs-wheeler is perfect for tackling off-road terrain and provides an easy ride for your child. If you're looking for a buggy to tackle terrain that is difficult, you should select one with big tires. These are designed to handle dirt, cobbles, and grass tracks easily and still provide smooth riding. They are also great for jogging, as they have built-in suspension and are able to climb up and down kerbs. However, the downside is that they can be quite heavy to push.

Sling seats made of fabric fit snugly within the buggie's frame rather than on top of it like modular seats. This design has a lower centre of gravity at the perfect height. It is simpler to push, and lighter to kerb-pop (you can't underestimate the number of times you will do this as a new parent!).

Seating

There are a myriad of options for seating in three wheelers. For a newborn, there is the option to use the carrycot and (which MFM reviewer Alice says is a cosy and comfortable lying flat bed that can be used both on and off the buggy), while older babies and toddlers can sit in the parent-facing or world-facing seat that is large and padded, and comes with adjustable ventilation. The seats do not recline completely, but can be lowered to the lowest setting. This should still give your child plenty of headroom and space.

A sling seat made of cloth is also available, which is set snugly inside the frame, rather than sitting on top as the modular seat. This provides a lower center of gravity and a perfect weight distribution. This makes it much easier and lighter to push especially over bumpy terrain or curbs. MFM reviewer Kath really liked the way that this style of seat dealt with these challenges.

This type of buggy has a large basket and other features that are useful such as an extended hood with 50+ UV protection, a simple to use brake pedal and a few innovative lights for visibility that can be placed in front of occupants to increase safety on rough terrain.

Storage

The 3-wheeled frame is more stable and can be pushed by one hand. It's also better for terrain that is difficult. The shopping basket is smaller than a 4-wheeler.

A top-quality ATP will feature pneumatic tyres, a padded grip for better comfort, and an excellent suspension. It should also be equipped with a carrycot and car seat which means you can use it from birth.

MFM's reviewers have found that the 3-wheeler frame can't pass through all doors in their homes, or small car boots - make sure you check the dimensions of the buggy when it's folded before buying in case you're concerned about space.

Find a 3 wheel stroller lightweight-wheeler that has 2 (or 3!) seats. seats as your family grows. They are the most efficient of both and future proof your money. Tyres

Air filled tyres have been designed to give your child a more comfortable ride by cushioning bumps and uneven surfaces. They are commonly found on pushchairs like the Phil & Ted’s Sport, which MFM reviewer Kath said provided "an exceptional ride for her toddler". She also mentioned that the grippy tyres of the Phil & Ted's Sport made it simple for her to negotiate kerbs and other obstacles.
