Best Rated Roomba Vacuums

This Roomba is among the best rated vacuums on the market. It has the strongest AI obstacle avoidance we've seen, as well as mopping technology that has dual rubber brushes that are less prone to tangling than bristle ones.

It also features a cliffand edge-sweeping sensors, four brushes (including an edge brush and two multi-surface long brush and two long multi-surface multi-surface brushes) and an edge-to-edge tracker to keep it on its intended route.

During our tests, the i3+ EVO cleaned our floors quickly and efficiently. It was able to easily move between rugs and carpets, and then back. It also had no trouble getting over the wooden or metal trim that separates flooring types. It did however bump into a few things like shoes, handbags and toys, but it was able to maneuver around them. It also missed a few areas of dirt on our carpeting however it was able to pick up pet hair in other areas.

While it is a good choice for homes with carpets however, the i3+ EVO isn't as effective as the competition when it comes to collecting crumbs and larger debris. It's not able to remove pet hair from carpets, and may not be the best option for those who want to replace their traditional vacuum cleaner with an automated. Additionally, it isn't equipped with the superior obstacle-avoiding capabilities of premium Roombas like the J7+ and S9+, which can make it more likely to get into pet waste and spread it on floors.

2. Roomba J7+

This is a fantastic robot irobot vacuum for people who have a mixture of carpet and hard floors. Its best feature is its obstacle detection, which cleverly eludes things like furniture legs and even pet waste. It's also great at cleaning hard floors, and picking up long hairs stuck in the brush.

The Roomba J7+ is unlike other robots in that it is able to adjust its suction strength. This is done via the app, which features scheduling and map editing which works well, as does the section of your favorites for the most frequent cleaning tasks. The j7+ is very quiet, especially on the more expensive flooring options and it does a great job of keeping up with manual vacuuming.

As is the norm the top models of irobot series's line tend to perform better in cleaning than lower-end models. In our tests, we found that the j7+ was able clean more dirt off carpeted and hard surfaces, and also cleaned better in crevices. The only issue was that it performed less well in our longer human hair pickup test, which is a common problem for all robots.

The j7+ has an auto-emptying Clean Base that automatically moves dirt from the robot's bin into an enclosed dirt bag each time it docks. This reduces the need for hands-on maintenance and is a real boon for anyone with allergies. The j7+ is also compatible with irobot for hardwood floors Braava Jet M Series robot mop using its Imprint Link feature. It will automatically resume mopping after the vacuuming has been completed.

3. Roomba i7+

Watching the i7+ clear the room is an amazing experience. It follows a logistical pattern similar to how a lawn-care professional trims a field prior to an event. It will occasionally return to the dock to empty its trash bin or recharge its batteries. This feature, which enables the vacuum to empty itself, is a great addition and reduces the requirement for manual maintenance.

It has a strong suction, which enables it to easily remove dirt and pet hair. Even on high-pile carpets it is able to pick up most debris with just one swipe. It also can identify areas that are prone to traffic and spend more time in those places. This is particularly helpful if your children and pets bring in a lot of dirt from outside.

Another feature that is great is Smart Mapping, which allows the i7+ to understand the layout of your home and create a customizable floor map while it vacuums. After four one-hour sessions the i7+ was able to navigate my two-bedroom flat efficiently and logically. You can further tweak the mapping using the app by adding virtual boundaries and giving rooms names. This means that you can set the i7+ to clean around the cat's litter tray every morning, or stay clear of the living room sofa after everyone has gone to sleep.

The i7+ comes equipped with a side brush and a tangle-free spinning squeegee, which are both good to remove debris that would otherwise be left on the ground. It also has an battery that has Recharge and Resume technology, meaning it can pick up exactly where it left off in an earlier cleaning session in the event that you let it charge.

4. Roomba 694

The 694 is a great entry-level robot that is ideal for anyone who wants to keep their home clean but without the advanced automation features that the higher-end models provide. It can recognize your cleaning habits and recommend cleaning schedules. It also works with Google Assistant or Alexa voice assistants so you can start a cleaning routine by just giving a command.

Its dual multi-surface brushes pick dirt from carpets and hard floors, while an edge-sweeping brush takes care of edges and corners. The battery can last for 90 minutes and docks back to the Home Base when it runs out.

A large Clean/Power button lies in the middle of the top panel, with Home and Spot buttons below and above it. The battery level indicator glows orange when charging, and then green when the robot is fully charged. The dustbin slots in at the back and can be released when you press a button.

The Roomba 694 is fantastic for navigating uneven floors and sucking up large debris like cereal and rice. However, it struggles with smaller particles such as baking soda. It is also prone to overflow its dirt container when it fills. It also doesn't work well on carpets with low pile however it does get an excellent score compared to other robot vacuums at this price.

It is extremely effective in cleaning hairs from pets. However, some strands could get caught in the side brush. The poor irobot For Pets performance of the 694 on cat litter is also a cause of concern, even though it scored the same as other robots in this class. It was better than our top choice (the Roborock S4 Max), by 19 points. The 694 is a bit more expensive than the eufy RoboVac 30C, however it feels sturdier-made, has fewer maintenance requirements and has lower costs for recurring expenses, is more quickly, can maneuver over obstructions with ease, and delivers superior performance on bare floors and high-pile carpet. It has a bigger bin and can be used without internet access.

5. Eufy 11s

The eufy11s model is among the most affordable robot vacuums available. It's also a great choice if you want a reliable and simple machine. It's able to pick up dust, pet hair and other particles on low-pile and hard floors. It also has a decent job of moving around furniture and obstacles. Its slim profile is perfect for reaching underneath low-clearance couches, coffee tables, and other furniture, and it's one of the quietest robot vacuums we've test-driven.

But that's all it is This is one of the most pared-back models we've seen, and it's missing certain features that are found on higher-end models. For example it's not compatible using an app, so you'll need to create the schedule using the remote control. It does not have an alert for the level of battery or a dust bin alert. You'll need to manually empty the bin whenever needed.

This model is well built and is easy to maintain despite its price. It also has a lengthy maximum battery life and provides good performance on floors that are bare and when maneuvering around obstacles. It was able to traverse low-lying obstacles such as electrical cords easily in our tests. However, it had difficulty with high-pile rugs.

The eufy is a better option than the ONSON GOOVI, however we recommend a more expensive model if you have the money. The Irobot Self empty Roomba 694 is easier to maintain, incurs lower recurring costs, and offers a longer maximum battery life. It also performs better on bare floors and in maneuvering around furniture, and it has the largest dust bin.
