Bagless Self-Recharging Vacuums

Eureka E10S

It's difficult enough to keep your home tidy when you have kids and pets. A self-emptying dock with a bagless design, mopping capability and an app that is smart make Eureka's E10S a smart method to reduce time and free up your hands to do other things.

The E10S is a mid-range robot mop and vacuum designed to let you free from mundane chores but without sacrificing the level of cleaning you expect in a home. It's in between the basic entry-level robots with tiny onboard dust bins and no mopping features and high-end robotic cleaners with multiple tanks for cleaners as well as powerful mop heads. In our tests, the E10S has saved time and delivered an adequate level of cleaning, although it requires some hands-on maintenance to keep it running.

The E10S takes around four hours to fully charge, but once it is fully charged, the robot vacuum with bagless self empty begins to wake up and starts cleaning the house. This gives you enough time for a typical cleaning session every week. The robot maps out your home, then creates a cleaning schedule by using the GPS on your phone. You can set up zones and rooms. You can manually begin cleaning at any time by using the onboard buttons or by using the app.

The E10S was successful in picking up dirt and debris with just a few exceptions. It had difficulty getting into tight corners and was not able to remove some sticky spills. Its mopping capabilities are limited to a single mop pad located at the back of the machine. It isn't always able lift the mop pad when it is placed on surfaces such as flooring or carpets.

The E10S is an attractive well-engineered, easy to use robot. Its base station looks elegant and is easy to use. It has a perspex front that lets you see when it's time to empty. It also has an easy-to-use ledge that allows it to stand on its own when placed on a flat area. Unlike most robots, the E10S uses a bagless self-cleaning robots multi-cyclonic technology that's just as easy to empty like a normal vacuum.

Dyson Detect

Famous for its TikTok-inspired hair stylers, space-looking air purifiers, and cord-free high-tech vacuums, Dyson has now also entered the world of mopping with motors. The V15s Detect Submarine is a vacuum cleaner and mop that can be used on hard floors. It comes with two heads that include the Fluffy Optic Cleaner Head with a laser built in for hard floors, and the Digital Motorbar Cleaner Head.

This model, like the other V15s, is able to be converted to a handheld by removing the main wand. Attaching any of the eight tools that come with it directly to the dust container, including the latest anti-tangle tool which has 56 polycarbonate toothed blades that break up strands of human and pet fur, allowing them to easily be taken into canisters and not be getting stuck to the brush itself. It also comes with three power levels, as well as an efficient system for emptying the bin that keeps debris contained.

The V15s Detect also features an intelligent LCD display that shows the mode you are currently in ('Auto' or 'Eco' as well as 'Boost'), the remaining battery life, and an extensive chart that reveals exactly what you are taking in - from large chunks of skin to tiny skin flakes or allergens. You can set a timer which will remind you to empty your dust canister at regular intervals. This is a great method to prevent overflow.

It's simple enough to use, too. After a full recharge the V15s Detect only takes 4.5 hours to reach 100 percent runtime. To start cleaning, simply attach the attachments you prefer and press the select button to select the appropriate mode. The LEDs will change to green on the front to indicate that all the dirt has been removed.

The trigger-operated system is one feature that has a split opinion. Some are not a fan of using it for long cleaning sessions. Dyson addressed this issue in later models by introducing a push-button on/off system, and a larger bin size, which is a good thing considering how much debris this vacuum picks up. The vacuum also requires a separate filter that can be removed from the base, and then washed under running water to keep it running at its peak.

Kenmore STRATUS

The Kenmore STRATUS is a bagless robot vacuums, self-recharging vacuum that simultaneously cleans and mops. It adjusts suction to match the floor's cleanliness and has a color-coded ring that shows how full its dust cup is. It's not the strongest or most durable model, but it performs well on multiple surfaces and is particularly efficient when cleaning stairs with carpet. The only downsides to this model is its small dust container and its limited battery life.

This slim, cordless stick cleaner is great for apartment dwellers and quick home cleaning sessions. It has an 18-minute runtime on one charge. The docking station is up and out of the way, meaning that cords won't get caught or trip you. The detachable handheld weighs only 3lbs, which makes it easy to move it up and down the stairs, or remove dust off shelves. The LED headlight lets you to see into tiny spaces and around furniture.

Shark EZ Robot

Shark is a well-known vacuum brand and makes some of the top robot vacuums on the market. Its AV911S EZ model is designed to compete against top-quality competitors such as the Roomba i7+. This vacuum cleaner fixes a lot of the problems that plagued previous models with the addition of self-emptying features and a better maneuverability. It also takes less time to recharge and incurs lower recurring costs than iRobot.

This robot is easy to set up right out of the box, requiring that you snap its two side brushes in place and place the dock station on its mat. It's easy to use too. You can start, stop, and then send it back to the dock using the buttons on its top or the companion app. It can be controlled with voice commands or Alexa devices.

During our testing, the AV911S EZ demonstrated strong suction capabilities and efficient mapping capabilities. It's small enough to fit underneath most couches and tables and can be returned to areas in need of additional cleaning. It struggles to clear debris from low-lying obstructions though, such as electrical cords.

The EZ Robot offers a number of innovative features to make it more user-friendly and easier to maintain, including automatic emptying and a specialized neutralizer for odors. If you prefer to control the robot using your smartphone, it is easy to pair it up with Alexa and Google Home devices. The companion SharkClean app is quite feature-rich but it's not very user-friendly and is susceptible to freezing. The app can be used to change the suction power mode, command the vac to start cleaning or return to the dock, schedule cleaning sessions, check the vac's charging status and check its maintenance history, and set up push notifications. For it to work you'll need a Wi -Fi connection with 2.4GHz. The IQ Robot is equipped with physical control buttons, which allow you to switch modes or stop the operation by pressing on the Clean button in purple. It also has the Find Robot button that will locate the vac if it is lost.
