Best Robot Vacuum For Thick Carpet and Pet Hair

For a robot vacuum with impressive technological capabilities, the Roborock s7 is a fantastic value. It performs similarly to a number of top-of-the-line models and is simple to use and maintain. It comes with a range of high-end features, which are similar to those you will find in robots costing twice more. It is a great choice for first-time buyers, those who are upgrading from an entry level model, and for anyone looking to save time while cleaning.

The Q5 is among the most slow robots we've tested but its layout algorithm is reliable and doesn't need any extra attention after its first pass through an area. It begins by tracing the perimeter of the space and then fills in the interior with parallel lines. Once the job is done it goes back to the charging station, if it was not at the base.

It did a great job of cleaning hardwood floors, sucking at least 88% dirt from every test. It had a little more trouble on high and low carpet however, it was better than the average unit. It also comes with mopping attachments to remove wet spills. We haven't tested it.

Its mobility, which is more than the norm for lidar robots is the fact that it can bump into furniture or other obstacles with a gentle bump. Its navigation system can detect stairs and multiple floors, allowing it to deal with multistory homes. It can also identify individual rooms if you choose them on the app. It is also able to adjust its power level, define no-go zones and view a map of the cleaning area.
