The seat is large and comfortable for Annie who is 12 months old. The recline lever was simple to operate. There's a good amount of room in the basket too and I like the fact that it comes with a zip-up compartment in the handle bar so you can keep your keys and phone safe!

The only slight downside is that the handlebar is low, which could be an issue for parents who are taller. It's covered in soft, supple leather-like material that is easy to wipe down.

Hauck Pushchair Runner

The Runner is designed for parents who like to explore and are always on the go. The large pneumatic wheels can be used on forest and field paths. The front wheel can be locked and can be swiveled for added versatility. It also comes with a padded 5-point safety harness and a front bar to keep your little one safe throughout your journey while the parking brake effectively stops the stroller from moving when you take a break. The seat can be repositioned to lay down and the canopy can be opened maximum air circulation on hot days. The handle can be height-adjusted by more than 30cm to accommodate dad or mum's heights.

The Runner will accompany you on your next adventure, whether it's a quick walk, a longer hike or a long-distance trek. It has a fully-flat lay-flat seat and suspension air wheels to ensure smooth and comfortable riding. The front wheel is lockable for greater stability on narrow streets and crowded sidewalks, and the stroller folds easily to fit in car boots and storage spaces.

The Runner 2 is a bit more difficult to navigate for some parents than its predecessor. Also, the locking system (requiring two buttons either side of the handlebar) is less user-friendly. However the stroller is strong and a lot of fun, and is worth considering by active families.

The Pace is a different great product from Red Kite, an affordable British brand that is known for its well-designed and no-fuss parenting essentials. It's their latest and the most expensive addition to the budget-friendly stroller line. Similar to the Ickle Bubba Aurora or Yoyo it's car seat compatible so you can use from birth.

The new Pace features some stunning design elements, including a rose-gold tint on the hood, chassis and stroller trims, which really distinguish it from. The car seat and stroller fabrics are fashionable in tan, grey, and cream. You can also choose to add the handle in leather and the bumper bar to match.

It is suitable from birth up to a max weight of 22kg. The stroller seat can easily be converted from a carrycot to the 2-in-1 reversible mode. It can be parent or world-facing. The stroller seat has multi lie-back positions, comfortable padded leg rests and has an extended sun canopy that has concealed zip sections, a viewing see through flap and an adjustable sun visor.

When folded when folded, the Pace measures 56 x 43cm x 32cm, which allows it to be used as hand luggage on Easyjet and Ryanair. Two buttons on either side are easy use and can be clicked into place.

Bugaboo Fox 5,

Bugaboo's Fox 5 is designed to be the ultimate all-terrain stroller. Its unique chassis, coupled with a shorter wheel-distance makes it more mobile than its predecessor. I tested it with my two kids - an infant and an eight week old - over rocky pavements, grassy woodland walks and even cobblestones.

The puncture-proof wheels are huge in size - 22cm and a whopping 30cm - therefore they are able to handle many different terrains. They also have a handy flap that can open or closes to allow more air in when you require it, which is a nice addition. It's a bit bigger than most pushchairs, but it isn't heavy or bulky when pushing over bumpy surfaces.

The fabric of the seat is machine washable and the frame and faux leather grips are simple to clean. It's also quieter than many pushchairs and I felt comfortable using it on busy city streets. A bonus feature is that it has integrated accessory points, meaning you can put in footmuffs, parasols, changing bags and even a tray for snacks. The hood can be used to block out rain and wind, however it's not waterproof. The single pram can be fitted with the Comfort Wheeled board (not included), which gives your child more leg room. It took around 20 minutes to set up the bassinet, and the same amount of time to transform it into the seat.

I was impressed with the ease of fold and collapse - it only requires one hand, even with the seat unit attached. It is easily tucked away in your car or hallway, making it ideal for travel.
