It's not as adept in sifting through pet hair or other small dirt as our top choices however, it's great for budget shoppers. It also offers the most app features, including zones that are virtual and no-go cleaning.

1. IRobot Roomba i3+ EVO

The iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO is a sturdy well-built, well-built robot that can do an excellent job at vacuuming floors. It has a large dirt storage compartment on the outside that automatically emptys when it is full to docking stations. It then resumes cleaning after it is recharged. It's efficient in getting rid of medium and small debris, but has trouble with pet hair.

Similar to the i3 EVO, this robot employs iRobot's Adapat 3.0 navigation software to help you navigate your home's features and keep track of certain rooms for future cleaning. It also has a feature that automatically adjusts the suction power and the height of the head depending on what kind of floor it's working on.

It performed admirably in our tests on both hard floors as well as low-pile, removing the majority of the smaller and more difficult debris that we placed on each surface, and the larger cereal crumbs that we placed on the floor. It's not as good at handling pet hair than some of the top models we've tested, however, and it might get stuck on toys or cords if you don't pick them up before sending the robot to clean.

In our tests, it was clean for about 90 minutes before the battery went out and returned to the base. It was more efficient than the i7+ and s9+ which both ran for only 60 minutes in our tests. The i3+ EVO has a solid track record of remembering its previous run, which we've not seen with other bagless electric robots.

The i3+ EVO's garbage bin has a capacity of 1.5 quarts which is less than the majority of other robots we tested. It has a release button on one side of the bin that you can press to empty it. You can also empty the bin with the docking station's Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal system, which sucks up the contents of the internal dust bin and then empties it into the station's outside dirt bag.

2. Eureka Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro is a powerful mopping system that has a suction rate of 5,500pa. It can be installed in a matter of minutes. The 770ml water tank and dustbin can reduce the frequency of emptying and its large capacity allows longer mopping sessions. Its 240-minute runtime makes it a great choice for larger homes. Its remarkable bagless intelligent vacuums navigation technology, made possible by the use of PreciSense LiDAR mapping will also provide a full coverage of the room, while also allowing the robot to maneuver around obstacles.

Contrary to other robot bagless automated vacuums like the Q5 Pro does not require Wi-Fi for operation. However, its battery life is rather small, so you'll need to recharge it often when you intend to use the machine for a long period of time. It is fairly easy to maintain and comes with an empty dirt bag that can be easily replaced and a simple maintenance schedule. It's also a bit less expensive than its more expensive rivals.

The Q5 Pro is a bit picky when it comes bulkier pet hair and debris but it does an excellent job in general. In our tests, the Q5 Pro was able to remove more debris from carpets and floors than Dirt Devil Endura Max. However, it had a difficult time getting into the tight corners and high-pile recessed areas. It's also more maneuverable and its filtering system does a fantastic job of trapping allergens. However its straight suction floorhead is too low to allow for the passage of medium or bulky debris. There are a few minor issues, like its lack advanced features and limited functionality of the remote control. Eureka Q5 Pro, despite its limitations, is a great choice for those looking for a basic robotic vacuum that can mop.

3. SwitchBot K10 Plus

The SwitchBot K10 Plus is a great choice for those who want a powerful vacuum that can also mop. The robot is compact design that allows it to get into small spaces such as corners and under furniture that larger robots are unable to reach. It also comes with a LiDAR sensor that can detect obstacles and avoid collisions.

During our tests the K10 Plus vacuumed up pet hair, crumbs and other debris quickly and efficiently from our carpeting. It was also able to reach into tight spaces such as under our beds or around the legs of our chairs. It is possible to mop with a separate cloth, or use a wet wipe. The K10 Plus comes with a small package containing wet wipes to get moving.

The application for the K10 Plus is intuitive and simple to use. It offers several customization options such as setting a no disruption time, changing the layout of the map, and setting a schedule for when you'd like it to clean. The app tracks the lifespan of your accessories such as the side brush, sensor, and bin filter. This is helpful for knowing when it's time to replace them.

The battery life of the K10 Plus is also pretty impressive. On a full charge, we were able get three hours of cleaning. It charges quite quickly. It ejects dirt into a large bin located in the base station after it's done. This can be a bit noisy when it occurs, but at least it's not as loud as some of the other self-emptying robot vacuums we've test.

4. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is part of the premium S Series of the manufacturer that is above models like the iRobot Roomba j7 or iRobot Roomba i3. It performs very well on different flooring types and is able to maneuver around furniture. Its main brushroll has counter-rotating rubber scrapers which effectively remove most debris, including pet hair, from carpets and floors. The suction power it produces is strong for a robot vacuum but doesn't quite match the suction power of high-end models like the Roborock S8.

The Roomba S9+'s design is clearly elegant, with a D-shaped body that appears more modern than its circular counterparts. This shape helps it to get into corners and along edges with ease. Although it may leave dust in these areas if the corner brush isn't spinning fast enough the motor's power more than makes up for this.

In iRobot's tests, the S9+ was able to take in kitty litter and pet hair easily. It also performed admirably on hard floors, where it made use of its powerful motor to push through most types of debris and clean the edges and corners with ease. Its advanced vSLAM technology and Imprint Smart Mapping made it one of our top navigators. It can find its way under sofas or beds with draped valances over them.

Setting up and operation is easy with the iRobot application. You can select which functions you'd like to activate when setting up the robot, or wait until after you've gotten a feel for it. The internal bin needs to be empty manually when it is full The process takes about 15 minutes and is quite quiet.

5. Roborock S8

This latest iteration of the Roborock S series is an impressive robot vacuum and mop combo with a robust feature set. Like its predecessors, it makes use of an LIDAR sensor and camera system to aid in navigation and obstacle avoidance. The mapping system creates a 3D map of your home that you can view through the app, and it allows you to create no-go zones or mark certain rooms for spot cleaning. The app also lets you control your robot's schedule and set different suction and mopping modes for each room.

The S8 also comes with improved HyperForce suction, which sucks hair and other particles of fine size effortlessly. The app can be used to adjust suction power, and the device can automatically switch between energy-efficient 'Quiet,' 'Balanced,' and 'Turbo' mode depending on the surface it's cleaning. It also has a 'Carpet Suction Boost' mode that enhances suction when the robot is positioned on rugs.

You can control the S8 with a single button, which can be used as a general 'Clean button' or an "Spot Clean' button to direct the robot to that location. You can also use the 'Dock/Home' button in order to send the robot back to its base station. The app comes with a dense features and is simple to use. It lets you select off-peak charging times to reduce the cost of using peak-time power.

The only drawback is that the battery doesn't last nearly as long as I'd like. It lasted only 130 minutes when I used it on standard settings with both vacuuming and mopping enabled. This is still a long time and was enough to get my apartment clean.
