This was faster than the X1 Omni circular pads which rotate at 180 rotations per minute. The S7 Max Ultra’s ReactiveAI 2.0 obstruction recognition system is extremely effective. During our testing, it didn't get stuck on any object and it stayed clear of power cords, long curtains and other obstacles that could be in the way 100% of the time.

2. Narwal Freo

Vaccuming and mopping your floors is one of those chores that people hate but is essential for maintaining a tidy home. It's also a messy, and often smelly job, and can be a challenge to get done as it involves handling dirty water and dustbins, and ensuring that no debris or hair does not get stuck in the traps or brushes. This is why mopping and vacuuming robots have become extremely popular. However, a lot of these products still require users to manually empty the dust bin and wash and wash the mop pads. This can be quite a hassle especially if you have to do it a few times during the cleaning process or after each cleaning session. We're glad to see that certain manufacturers are introducing self-emptying robots that make this process much simpler.

The Ecovacs Deebot T9+ (available at The Good Guys for $1279) is one of the most efficient self-emptying robot vacuum and mop combos on the market. It can plan out your home and mop and vacuum while avoiding obstacles. It can even emit an air freshener which is a neat touch.

The app creates a map of your home which you can use to clean. It's easy to set up. The app allows you to choose specific rooms or areas that need to be cleaned. You can also select the time you'd like it to start working, so your floors are cleaned while you're away or asleep.

In our tests, the T9+ was very impressive when it came to navigating obstacles. It is known to take a slightly manic route around the home. This often meant that it ended up at the same spot it started cleaning just few minutes earlier. This wasn't a lot of times however it was enough to be noticeable and is worth taking note of.

The T9+ comes with a full range of accessories, including the robotic cleaner, a docking station, and an auto-empty station. The mopping module, and the replacement dustbin are sold separately.

Another downside is that the Combo j7+'s dust bin is tiny, and you have to empty it manually. The Combo mop pads are also less effective than other brands. This is a shame as this robot is otherwise excellent.
