BOB Single Pro Stroller Review

If you're running on a trail or walking to the aisles of your grocery store the stroller is easy to maneuver. The locking swivel wheel on the front offers the option of an easier ride or a more bump-resistant ride.

Safety

The BOB Alterrain Pro stroller is a high quality stroller designed specifically for runners. The aluminum frame is made with a few connecting points for fasteners, and little flex, creating a sturdy product that holds up well to running. The style of the fabric and the way it is attached to the frame, canopy and basket is sleek and polished with no sagging or errant stitching that is a frequent issue on other strollers. The round bar brake "pedal" is a unique system that we haven't seen before. It's easy to use and convenient for running as it only requires one action to push "pins" into the holes. The front wheel tracking knob is easy to use and will help get your stroller back on track if you lose sight of where you are going.

This stroller has large, sturdy wheels that can withstand bumps or debris, as well as other obstacles easily. Your child will enjoy an enjoyable ride. The seat features a deep recline, which can be locked in it's position. It also comes with an electronic peekaboo as well as the five-point harness that does not rethread to ensure secure straps. The only drawback is its weight, however our tester didn't feel that the extra weight did not affect their perception of exertion during an exercise.

When we tested the stroller with our guides, the children ran from 3to 5 miles on various surfaces (paved roads, grass, dirt gravel, bumpy, broken concrete), noting how comfortable they felt on each run. They also took their strollers on longer walks and noted how their children sat comfortably in the seat.

The stroller is expensive, but it comes with numerous impressive features that make it worth the cost for some runners. The swiveling front wheel as well as suspension are ideal for navigating rough terrain, while its wide footprint offers plenty of stability.
