The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're seeking a robot vacuum and mop that is priced in the middle. It gives a great mopping experience, but it lacks the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.

In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of medium-pile carpets. It doesn't use LIDAR, however, as other models do, to identify your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the most highly-rated robots. It is a powerful cleaner and a variety of features, including a self-emptying dirt compartment built into its charging base. The robot mop and vacuum combo also learns your cleaning habits and suggest schedules that are automatic to ensure you have a hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning functions with the touch of one button. You can select a general clean that prioritizes cleaning up larger debris like cereal and rice or two detailed maps of your space to ensure that your entire home is properly arranged.

This robot vacuum is effective on both bare floors and carpets with low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and sucks big objects up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's a challenge with carpets that are high-pile or plush however iRobot promises that the next models will be better.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that focuses on improving corner and edge cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that adopts flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes this will allow it hug walls and furniture. It's a nice change from the hockey puck-like design of most robovacs, though we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also comes with superior filtration which blocks micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice claim but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the high price cost.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of a combination of sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology to map the interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, like staircases and other barriers, and also to clean your entire home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, and create virtual boundaries, so it can recognize areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vac settings are as effective as those on higher-end models and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a much better job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only drawback is the lack of a second brush to allow for more thorough cleaning. But that's not a big deal when you're looking to purchase one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac's tank for dust is larger than many of its rivals and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even with the highest dirt level.

For the mopping device, I was awestruck with its ability to scrub off the tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes, which are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, produce minimal noise, allowing you to work or watch television without interruption. It will gently bump into furniture or walls and then move away when it encounters one.

What really sets the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical trash into the bin hidden from view and also washes and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is capable of nagging you only when something requires attention, for example, the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session having been canceled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create and combine rooms to modify the way that Q Revo treats your abode. That's a handy feature if you have multiple areas of your home with different flooring materials or there's some items that need to be cleaned out frequently, such as clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum was also among the best performers in my tests cleaning up debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors on the first go. It is able to even remove wet spills but I would suggest wiping them dry with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum and mop robot best that comes with all the features you can wish for. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum that has a powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, and an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. The robot is still large--it has a height of more than two feet height and depth and weighs almost four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This model is more efficient than the X1 as it charges faster and can clean 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Additionally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and a voice assistant that works offline, allowing you to control it even when you're not home. It also comes with a smart routing feature that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a predetermined route.

The Omni Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested, because of its mop pads that rotate to scrub away tough stains and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is top-notch, and it boosts suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It has a large rechargeable battery that lasts up to one week. The mopping feature of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a top-quality model that offers a number of features that aren't often found on robots in this price range. It is able to build detailed floor maps, identify various flooring types, and it's one of the few that can automatically wash and dry the mop pads. Although these features are useful but they also push the L10s Ultra into the category of luxury, which might make it somewhat more expensive than the average homeowner require.

It is designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device with an elegant white finish enhanced by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine has an enormous bumper that shields the furniture and vacuum cleaner when you are moving around your home. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, you'll find a single button that essentially is a switch for on and off. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, while clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The circular menu in the center of the control panel allows users to select cleaning options, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons allow you to access the settings in the app, which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to map out your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop effectively and avoid getting stuck in messy areas. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and recognize them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.

The L10s Ultra provides solid vacuuming performance, clearing 98.4 percent of the debris from our hard-floor test and taking out all but the most difficult juice stains. Its mops also do a great job and remove 98.4 percent of debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. However, it wasn't quite as effective in removing sand from the floor or the quaker oats that are on carpet.
