Saab Ignition key Key Programming

Transponder key

Jump starting the battery

Most people keep a set of jumper cables in their trunk for emergency situations, but jumping a battery on modern vehicles may not be the best choice. These vehicles have many computers and digital devices that communicate with one another. A voltage spike when a battery is hooked up to another battery could fry these components and leave your car unable to drive.

Start the vehicle you are using and allow it to run for around two minutes before connecting the cables to the battery that is not working. Attach the red clip to the positive terminal on the good battery (it will have "POS" or "+" on it). Attach the other end to a clean unpainted metal surface beneath the hood of the damaged car. The engine block is an excellent alternative. The black cable should not be connected to the negative terminal of the dead battery.
