Nordstrom's flagship store in New York City will be hosting an in-store market that will feature eight Black-owned businesses from February 14 through March 6. The curated market features apparel food, home goods, and other items from Caribbean lifestyle-inspired Chen Burkett New York; soulful clothing brand Savant Studios; heavy metal jewelry brand Heavy Metals NYC; Modish Decor Pillows, and Brooklyn Brewed Sorrel.

Petit Kouraj

Established by fashion stylist Nasrin Jean-Baptiste. Petit Kouraj is the Haitian Creole word for "little courage." After years of styling and amassing experience as a world-class fashion designer, she was able to recognize her inner voice and designed a line of luxurious bags that fuse knitwear sculpture, design, and identity.

Jean-Baptiste collaborated with a women-only group in Haiti to create her crochet bags with 100 cotton net, rayon fringe and leather handles. They can spend up to twelve hours on one bag.

While a lot of luxury brands focus on promoting their European heritage, Anima Iris centers African tradition and history in its designs. The company donates a portion of its profits to women of color, and also selling trendy bags.
