Asbestos Legal Matters

After a long fight over asbestos legal issues, the result was in the partial ban in 1989 of the manufacture, processing and distribution of the majority of asbestos-containing products. The ban is still in effect.

Legislation

Asbestos laws are regulated both at the federal and state levels in the United States.
