Easy to store

The Joie Pact Pro is the ideal travel buggy, folding down so small that it fits into an overhead luggage compartment and is so light that you'll barely feel it in your car boot. It's also a great day-to-day stroller and our test driver Hollie found it easy to steer, even while juggling her one-year-old. She liked the adjustable handle, lockable wheels and the reclined seat. However, she did note that it was not particularly comfortable. She also likes that you can add extras like a reversible, washable seat cover, rain cover and an ear muff for feet.

The Babyzen YOYO is another impressively compact fold pushchair. It's not as streamlined as the Cybex Libelle but it's still a great product that can easily slide into car boot and trunks. It has more options for newborns in comparison to other buggies for travel. You can add the bassinet or cot for newborns and a customized ride-on-board for older children, and a tandem seat adapter.

It's not the most compact buggy for driving on rough or uneven terrain, and its tinier wheels don't work as well as other models we've tested. However, it's an extremely maneuverable pushchair and the YOYO is capable of navigating narrow aisles and muddy pathways. It's perfect for a holiday or city break.

The Cosatto Bee6 offers a remarkably simple list of features at its price. It folds down to the size and weight of a large bag and is simple to transport on planes and trains. It's also a breeze to use and our MFM reviewer Matt found it enjoyable to steer, even with a heavy toddler in the. He also appreciated the hood, which is down low enough to protect from rain and sun and aid naps. The only drawbacks are that it lacks under-seat storage, and you'll have to carry or delicately hang a bag on the handlebar (against our expert advice!). Alternatively, you can purchase a separately sold changing bag holder, making this an ideal buggy for the holidays.

Easy to manoeuvre

The wheels on compact pushchairs may look small folding pushchair, but they often are surprisingly efficient, navigating narrow aisles for shopping or rough terrain easily.
