The Samsung Jet Bot+ is a sleek, storm-trooper-inspired robot vacuum with a host of features to help keep your home clean. This robot is controlled remotely via the Samsung SmartThings App and is compatible with voice integrations such as Alexa and Google Assistant. The app is simple to use and offers many settings, including customizable cleaning modes and scheduling.

The robot starts by mapping the area it'll clean, creating an electronic floorplan which can be viewed in the app. After the mapping is completed the robot begins to clean the areas it has mapped out, and smacking furniture and corners easily (although it may get stuck on some items like the base of the fan that is standing).

As it absorbs dirt, it drops it into its own bin which it automatically empties into the Samsung Clean Station when full. This is a huge time-saver and means that you don't have to think about emptying the bin yourself. The Clean Station can also be used as a charging station for the bot.

This Samsung bot is a sophisticated bot with a variety of settings to personalize how it works. For instance, Download free it features an "Smart Power Mode" that adjusts suction based on the flooring type. It also allows you to move in a zigzag pattern, or move around objects. It is also able to be able to avoid certain items when it believes they will cause secondary contamination or pose a risk this is a great feature to have for those suffering from allergies.

It was capable of handling hair that was long with minimal tangles and it didn't lose suction. However, the brushes do tend to get blocked, particularly near the nozzles, so make sure to check them often. The app also alerted you when the brushroll was tangled.

The Samsung Jet Bot+ will be a fantastic addition to any family that is looking for a more practical way to keep the house clean. It's a bit more costly than other robot vacuums but it has a range of top-quality features that are worth the extra expense.

Neato Botvac D7

The Neato Botvac D7 is one of the most powerful robot vacuums on the market. It provides excellent performance on carpets, floors with high pile, and pet hair. Its maneuverability, ease of maintenance, and power are all top-notch. However, it's less suited to hard surfaces as it doesn't mop. It also has a relatively high price tag and recurring costs.

Like the other models in the Neato Botvac line, this model has a distinctive "D" shape that provides it with two right angles for cleaning along walls and into corners better than round competitors. Its turret houses Botvision sensors that scan and map your home to provide superior navigation.

Setting up the D7 is simple: connect to Wi-Fi, download the Neato app, and follow the onscreen instructions to connect the vacuum to your home's wireless router. Once connected, you can create your cleaning schedule with the app and Download free choose from a range of modes. These include House which provides a full automatic clean; Spot, which lets you select a specific area for focused cleaning; and Manual, which allows you to direct the bot with an arrow pad.

After it's fully charged the D7 begins to understand your floor plan. It does this by creating a digital map of your space. Once the map is completed, it will start cleaning. This process takes approximately an hour for our apartment, though it may be quicker when you choose to use Eco mode which is slower.

It's easy to determine when the D7 is running low on battery power, since the indicator light turns green when it's fully charged, and yellow when you're near to running out. The D7 is equipped with a larger battery than the newer D8 and can last for up to two hours in its maximum 'Turbo' power.

While the D7 is a great tool of cleaning floors with no dirt but it can sometimes get stuck on furniture feet and legs and can't move easily up or down stairs. It will send you a notification if it gets stuck.

Dyson Ball Multi-Floor Cleaner

The Multi-Floor Cleaner is an upright vacuum cleaner that uses Radial Root Cyclone technology to maximize suction. The brush bar was redesigned to feature shorter, more rigid bristles that are able to penetrate carpet fibers and pick up dirt more effectively without damaging the carpet. The floorhead is now automatically adjusted to carpets or hard floors and seals suction. Its wand and hose release in one seamless action making it easy to get high or under furniture. It features a complete-machine HEPA filter to ensure that allergens and bacteria can be sucked up within the machine instead of being emitted back into your home.

Anyone with allergies or asthma is likely to find the Multi Floor a great option. Its suction is powerful and lets it pick up dirt and debris that accumulates on your flooring. This includes a variety of tiny particles that are usually dispersed in the air. It is also effective on both high and low-pile carpet. It has a long cord, which makes it easy to move around your home.

It's heavier than other vacuums we tested, but still easily transportable and easy to move from room to room. Plus, it has an empty dirt bin that you can empty with the touch of a button. The bin holds 0.6 cubic feet of dirt, and its transparent body lets you see the amount of dirt it has.

It didn't perform like the Hoover WindTunnel 2 whole house rewind on bare floors however it was able to clean up the kitty-litter and rice that was accumulated on carpeted floors. It's also superior in removing sand in medium-pile carpet as compared to the Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe. It's also less trouble to maintain and has almost no recurring cost, unlike the BISSELL Bagless Canister.

Hoover WindTunnel Cleaner

The Hoover WindTunnel Cleaner is a bagless upright with strong suction that carries a reasonable price tag. It does a decent job of cleaning pet hair and other particles from carpets and hard floors. It is not the best vacuum in its class and it can lose performance when the dirt compartment is full. This could be an issue if you have lots of furniture or pet hair.

The design is easy to maneuver and relatively sturdy, but some owners were concerned that it was too heavy for this type vacuum. Its cord is a bit short, though it has an auto-retract feature. Many users find it convenient that the vacuum can switch between carpeting and hard flooring without turning off the machine.

QuickPass brush rolls, which enable you to clean surface debris in just one go is a major selling point. Additionally, the patented WindTunnel 3 Technology creates channels of suction that lifts and removes surface debris as well as deeply embedded dirt. This is complemented by a filter made from HEPA media and an adsorbent layer of carbon to absorb odors.

Rewind is a nice feature of this vacuum. This lets you remove just a few feet at a time, instead of having to manually unwind the whole thing. It also comes with a variety of hose tools that let you reach into difficult to access areas.

While the Hoover WindTunnel Cleaner does a decent job with floors that are clean however, it's not as effective with more large pet hair and debris. It can also be a struggle with rugs that have high pile. In this regard, it will be closer to the BISSELL PowerForce Helix. It is a bit more robust and has a larger bin. It is also simpler to maintain, with fewer regular costs.

Another positive about the Hoover WindTunnel is that its filter can be rinsed, and will only need to be washed when it starts showing signs of contamination. This is a great way to minimize the need for replacement filters and keep your home cleaner for longer.
