Best Value Bean to Cup Coffee Machines

Created by Milan-based firm Deep Design, this sleek compact and striking machine combines the unique retro style of the brand with cutting-edge technology. The machine is able to handle all the stages of making coffee, from grinding beans to tamping into a puck and making milk into a texturing, before dispensing the correct amount.

The machine is also available in red, black or taupe. It will easily be incorporated into any kitchen style. It's not without its shortcomings however, as most reviewers found it a little expensive for a bean to cup maker (and it doesn't include a milk pitcher).

There were also plenty of glowing reviews of the quality of the coffee and the ease of using this machine. The digital display gives information and step-bystep instructions throughout the entire brewing procedure which will allow you to improve your coffee every time. It will even alert you to adjust the grind size if it's not enough. It's like having your own personal barista at home (minus Elon Musk's rocket building abilities and Harry Potter's invisibility cape).

If you prefer milky drinks, this model features an adjustable steam wand in both directions to accommodate all drinking vessels, but not the Viking's drinking horn. We were impressed by the speed and efficiency of the frothing process too. It also produces an amazing espresso with a fantastic crema and full flavour despite its compact size.

The BCC02 is an excellent all-rounder that's quiet, effective and provides great value for money, especially at its current price of PS499. Its only real flaw is that it doesn't provide the same level of customisation as other bean-to-cup machines we have examined. It's got a 15-bar pump, rather than the common 19 bar which isn't as effective for making high-quality espressos. However it's a great bean-to-cup machine for those who like their coffee strong and black. 2. Melitta Barista TS Smart

The Barista TS Smart is a top bean-to-cup machine that has a lot of features that help it stand out from the competition. Its most distinctive characteristic is that it can be controlled from your smartphone using the Melitta Connect app. This lets you alter the settings and dispense various coffee recipes that are stored in the machine.

This makes the machine super flexible and able to adapt to your preferences. There are a variety of ways to alter the strength of your beverage, cup sizes and even whether you'd like milk added. The machine comes with two airtight bean containers that automatically select various specialties. It will default to standard espresso beans in one and cafe crem (a German variation of long black or flat white) in the other however, you are able to select the beans you prefer. There's also a convenient chute for coffee that has been ground if you'd prefer to make your own (for instance, if that pesky dinner guest brings their own).

The users have also been awed by the speed of the machine. It's faster than other machine they've used. Another benefit is that the machine will notify you when one of its hoppers is about to be empty, so that you don't get caught out by running out of your favorite beverage.

The price could be a worry for some. It's not cheap, costing nearly PS999. However, it's cheaper than similar Jura machines with similar features.

Barista TS smart is protected by a two-year guarantee. This is longer than the standard one-year guarantee, so it is a good assurance from the manufacturer. It also includes the cleaning tablet and descaler, which makes it simple to keep on top of your machine's needs for maintenance. This is a great machine for those looking to buy a high-quality, multi-functional bean to cup machine at an affordable price.
