At its 2022 Year in Infrastructure (YII) event, Bentley Systems introduced a series of new products that leverage digital twins and cloud data to enable rapid, accurate design and project delivery.

For instance, Bentley's awe-inspiring additive manufacturing (AM) system can turn 3D CAD models into physical components. The technology was used to create everything from on-the-job assisted tools for Bentley's colleagues in manufacturing to historic accurate tooling to rebuild its famous woodshop and a lightweight sanding block needed to create Bentley cars driven in record-breaking time at the Pikes Peak Challenge.

The ProjectWise platform was enhanced with several new features, such as the ability to reuse digital components; an expanded capability for civil design reviews as well as the capability to conduct a Drive Simulation to test the ability to drive a specific design; and an integration of multiple formats for project files to one workspace to facilitate collaborative design reviews.
