Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Bentley's custom coachbuilding division, Mulliner, has designed a unique key case to mark the centennial of the company. It is made of Dark Stained Burr Walnut with Piano Black Veneer and includes a fluttering "B" paperweight, keys, and an album of never-before-seen 1930s 8 Litre images.

It's a great present to welcome a new owner to their luxurious car.

Aesthetics

As a design-centric company Bentley takes its aesthetics extremely seriously. It shows in the precision placement of its quilting, the choice of leather sourced from by-products of cattle, the timber from forests that are sustainably managed and the creative patterns on its levers. A car like the Continental GT W12 beckons as you approach it and showcases its stunning sculptural design and power by carefully curated lighting.

The Continental GT is Bentley's most sophisticated open-top car. Its rear tonneau, for instance, featured the largest piece of dark-stained, book-matched Burr Walnut veneer ever applied to the production Bentley. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and bentley key fob programming innovation.

It is this bespoke design, craftsmanship and attention to detail that have established Bentley as the most sought-after automobile brand. The company continues to push the limits with the latest technology and craftsmanship, including the introduction of an instrument cluster that is digital with an electric tilt-opening back glass sunroof, a custom-designed docking station for Apple iPads, and electrochromic glass that can be changed from opaque to transparent at the touch of a button.

Bentley celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2019, one hundred years after it was founded. The marque, now owned by Volkswagen independently following years of disputes with BMW and BMW, had planned a number of special launches and events to mark this milestone. Before pandemic planning took the spotlight, the marque had a range of special events and launches planned to commemorate this significant occasion.

Design

Bentley is a renowned brand for its luxurious and ostentatious automobiles, but even keys are designed to make a statement. The Bentayga Key is made of sterling silver with a large B' symbol to inform everyone that you're a Bentley. The key is also decorated with the years 1919 and 2019 to mark the company’s centenary.

Bentley Mulliner redesigned and redesigned the Mulsanne to be the ultimate Grand Touring vehicle. It features two opposing sets of rear seats modelled on luxury private aircraft offering passengers unbeatable comfort and security. The unique heating and ventilation system as well as the air conditioning system was developed to provide each passenger with the perfect climate control setting.

The Mulsanne has twin turbocharged 6.75 litre W12 engine with 560bhp and 479lb-ft of torque. This amazing power is coupled by a new suspension system which provides Bentley's renowned quiet ride.

In celebration of its Centenary, Bentley introduced a bespoke specification known as the Centenary Specification for cars manufactured in 2019. The cabin has cross-stitching, and contrast stitching in Centenary Gold throughout. The bentley key fob Wings are embroidered with Centenary Gold on the headrests as well as the seats and other parts of the car. This adds to the celebration. The Centenary Specification also includes a personalized Bentley keycase to complete the Bentley experience.

Function

The Bentley Key Fob Programming Mulsanne Key comes with two buttons one of which opens the trunk, bentley key fob programming and the second that starts the vehicle. It also has a switch that can turn on the parking break. There is a knob to fold and unfold the mirrors while parked in tight areas. This feature can aid in getting in and out of your car more easily.

The key is constructed from vegetable tanned leather and takes about two days to make each one. The key is cut by hand, then shaped, sewed and sealed, then polished to create a high-end result. It is durable compact and fits the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is similar to that of the Volkswagen Phaeton large car's key however it feels heavier and has a luxurious feel.

Secure-A-Key is also included to protect against keyless entry theft. This device is inserted into the remote-control key fob. It will shut it off after a few minutes of inactivity, preventing thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices that could unlock and start the vehicle.

Bentley's unique design reflects the company's values of exquisite craftsmanship, engineering expertise, and modern technology. Its headquarters in Crewe are home to over 4,000 workers who are responsible for the design, development and production of Bentley vehicles. These workers apply techniques passed down through generations and apply them to the latest in automotive technology. This is the characteristic of British manufacturing at its finest.

Personalisation

Bentley's Mulliner division lets customers create their own car. The guests sit at a collection of images referred to as "mood stations" and choose a selection of photos - from scenic views to sporting events that will inspire them. Each time a selection is made, the pattern that emerges is the model, color and style preferences for the customized Bentley.

The configuration that is created is stored on individual R.F.I.D.-enabled keys that are then presented to the guests in a custom-made key case. Keys can also be fitted with Bentley Muliner Personalised Welcome Lamps that light up the door's opening pathway with the owner's name and/or emblem as they are approaching the vehicle.

bentley car key says it takes roughly 500 man-hours in order to create and put together the typical Mulsanne. The refusal to embrace modern technology is the primary factor to this lengthy and laborious process. Instead of using a machine to place the perfectly matched cross-stitched leather seats, workers at the Crewe factory do it by hand. Drivers must park their vehicles manually, instead of using sensors built-in to direct them to perpendicular and paralell spots.

During the event, Bentley showcased its Mulliner personalization capabilities by presenting one particular example that was the Mulsanne W.O. Edition, which pays tribute to the founder William Osler Bentley. The limited edition cars come with the key, which displays an item from the 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
