Bose QuietComfort 700 Wireless Headphones Review

Controls

The 700s don't have physical controls for the ear cups unlike most of Bose's headphones. Instead you'll find an electronic touch panel on the front of the right ear cup that can register finger taps and swipes. Tap twice to play or pause and swipe up to increase the volume, then down to lower it, and then forward to skip tracks. One tap answers calls and a double tap rejects an calls that are incoming.

The headset allows you to switch on the "aware" mode, which allows some passthrough of your environment. This is a useful feature for anyone who needs to be aware of their surroundings while listening to music or making phone calls.

Another feature of the 700s is a motion sensor which shuts down your headphones after a certain amount of inactivity. This is a fantastic feature for those who get easily distracted or forget to turn off their headphones. The Bose Connect App lets you change the Auto-Off feature on your Bose headphones.

The app allows you to customize the headphones' features like audio settings, noise cancelling levels, and languages for voice prompts. Design

Bose headphones are perfect for mobile use. Most models that sit on or over the ear, come with plenty of padding to ensure a comfortable fit. They're also extremely lightweight and compact which makes them a great option for trips. Bose's wireless headphones can't block out as much noise as some of their competitors. This may not be an issue for all, especially since Bose also offers dedicated active noise cancelling earbuds for exercise (like the QuietComfort Earbuds II Truly Wireless). This allows you to monitor your surroundings while still enjoying the convenience of your music.
