The MOMENTUM line of headphones from Sennheiser is one of the most well-known active noise-cancelling (ANC) headphones. The MOMENTUM 4 Wireless headphones are an excellent alternative for ANC headphones. They have a solid track record and come at a reasonable price.

The earcups are padded and designed to comfortably fit around your ears. The top of the band, that wraps around your neck, is covered in soft leatherette. The band is flexible enough to fit glasses. I found it to be comfortable for long periods of time.

The MOMENTUM Wireless is a balanced headphones, unlike ANC headphones that emphasize highs or bass. This is a good thing since it gives an accurate representation of the music and speech you listen to. They do tend to veer towards the realm of boosts at lower frequencies, but that's a common characteristic of headphones designed for commuters, since outside noise can be competing with low-level music and speech.

You can connect the MOMENTUM 4 Wireless to a device via Bluetooth and you can choose to use SBC AAC, aptX codecs, or aptX HD. The 3.5mm connector on the headphone can be used to listen to audio sources without Bluetooth support.

The MOMENTUM Wireless has a microphone array that allows you to make and take calls. The microphone does a decent job however it's not going provide the best audio quality for phone calls. It's still superior to microphones in most headphones that are priced at entry level, though.
