Avon Books - A Brief History

In 1941 the American News Company (ANC) established Avon Publications as a paperback book publisher. The company began by focusing on comics, but later expanded to other genres, such as romance.

Avon is now owned by HarperCollins, which also owns Harlequin. Their Diamond Anniversary celebration is underway.
