Repair Patches

Think about adding adhesive patches to your kit if you have several holes in your equipment. These tough patches have high-performance adhesive that has been applied to a rugged polyurethane backing that lets a tear heal under pressure. These patches are available in color or clear versions. They offer durability against punctures, as well as sun, moisture, saltwater and temperature extremes.

If your kit doesn't contain any of the above items, consider adding a bag of water-proof Aquaseal wader repair sealant. This water-tight glue can be applied to plastics, fabrics metals and more to provide a permanent fix. This glue is ideal for fixing drysuits and also used in the field. Allow the sealant to cure for up to 12 hours prior using your repaired gear.

Adhesive Patches

Use the tube-scuffer to roughen up the surface. This will assist the glue stick. Spread a thin layer of glue over the patch, covering an area at least as large as the patch. Take a few moments for the glue to become tacky before pressing the patch down and firmly holding it in the place.
