Level nine finishes off the Knowledge Domain's spell list with "Dominate Person" and "Telekinesis." This allows them to turn humanoid foes to their side and hurl creatures and objects around with the power of their mind.

The Ranger subclasses in Baldur's Gate 3 allow the Ranger to gain additional abilities inspired by the Ranger's core concept as a Scout that hunts dangerous foes and has a deep understanding of the natural world. In Baldur's Gate 3 , the player's choice of character class is arguably the most important decision they make. Each class provides different abilities and utility when exploring the world and engaging in combat. One such class is the Fighter , who begins the game with the ability to wield any weapon and wear any armor.

If you are dead set on including a character in your party, simply talk to Withers to respec them to one of the optimal Druid companion classes listed above. This way, you won't miss out on that character's questline, and you won't have to suffer from an improperly balanced party.

These Maneuvers allow the Fighter to control the battlefield and aid their allies while pressing the attack. On reaching level seven, the Battle Master gains one more Superiority Dice, allowing them to use more Maneuvers per short rest, and also gains two more maneuvers from the above list.

As mentioned briefly in the previous section, Rangers can get hold of the exceptional scimitar "Belm" in Act 3. This can be found in Jaheira's Basement, under Elerrathin's Home in the Lower City. Belm is a legendary scimitar that can perform Whirlwind Attack, making an attack against all enemies within range, as an action once per short rest. The wielder can also perform an extra attack as a bonus action, which calculates its attack and damage modifier using the stats of the weapon in the wielder's main hand. This makes it tremendously powerful when used in conjunction with a main-hand weapon that deals more damage, like Phalar Aluve or Larethian's Wrath. If focusing on strength over dexterity but still using the dual-wielder feat, you could use the Nylruna trident (obtained by winning the jackpot from Akabi at the carnival, getting teleported to the jungle, and then picking the lock on the chest near the portal back to the Carnival) or Voss' Silver Sword (stolen from Kithrak Voss via pickpocketing or murder) in the main hand to great effect. The aforementioned trident is also excellent for adding some range to a Strength-focused Ranger Build.

Level five adds "Plant Growth" and "Sleet Storm," allowing them to create patches of weeds to slow down their foes and conjure storms of ice to disrupt spellcasters and create difficult terrain (It's also handy for extinguishing fires if necessary.)

The Outlander background doesn't give proficiency in Perception or Insight, so feel free to pick up these two skills with this background combination too. As a Druid, picking up Nature or Religion can be good for RP purposes, though there aren't quite as many uses for these skills in the game.

Lae'Zel : Best suited for the Battle Master subclass, Lae'Zel can almost singlehandedly handle your front line, drawing attention from enemies and able to withstand attacks better than some other classes.

Depending on your choice of Arcane Shots, you could also make use of the Psychic Damage equipment (like the Braindrain Gloves and Boots of Psionic Movement), or the Sparkstruck Set (like The Speedy Lightfeet, Jolty Vest, and Sparkswall) to great effect. Poison damage equipment also deserves a mention here, though the sheer amount of poison-resistant foes makes it impractical.

There are a total of 12 classes that players will be able to pick from in the full version of Baldur's Gate 3 Combat Tips Gate 3 , including the multi-faceted Druid Class. There are three subclasses, or Circles, for players to choose from, being the Circle of the Moon, the Circle of the Land, and the Circle of Spores.
