For fashion and clothing I pay attention to fabric thickness and stitching details. Whenever I find something that actually works well, I tend to reorder it later. I also pay attention to return policy and customer service response time. Having a tracking number that works on common sites is very convenient.

Now I try to read as many real user reviews as possible before I buy anything. A product that still looks good after a few months is more impressive than something only good on arrival. For things that I use every day, I prefer to pay a bit more if the quality is stable. When I test a new shop I usually start with one or two items instead of a huge order. Reading comments with real body photos is one of the best ways to check sizing. If many different people say the same thing about a product, it is worth paying attention. Recently I have been testing several online eyewear shops to compare frames and lenses.
