12. Vaneaxial Fans: Utilizing Stator Vanes for Pressure Recovery and Efficiency
The Vaneaxial fan represents the apex of dc axial fan supplierr fan design for applications demanding high static pressure without sacrificing axial flow[13]. The key differentiating feature is the inclusion of a set of stationary guide vanes, or stator vanes, positioned immediately following the rotating impeller[13]. The rotating blades impart kinetic energy and velocity to the air, but they also introduce a significant tangential or rotational velocity component—the "swirl"—which is a waste of energy[13]. The stator vanes are aerodynamically shaped and fixed at an angle precisely calculated to redirect this swirling air[14].
