Risk Factors

Treatment

Your treatment plan will be based on the stage that your cancer is at and the location it began. Your health care team will also take into consideration your age and overall health.

If you have cancer in its early stages, surgery and other treatments could be a viable option to cure it. If your cancer is in the later stages, you may need to undergo surgery to remove all or a part of your stomach. Chemotherapy or radiation may be applied prior to or after surgery to reduce cancer symptoms and to prevent cancer from coming back.
