Mesothelioma

Mesothelioma is a form of cancer that can be traced with exposure to asbestos the mineral that occurs naturally. The disease is usually diagnosed decades after exposure.

The treatment for mesothelioma is chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. Treatment can help patients live longer.

There are three types. The stage and the type of cells that compose the tumor can affect the prognosis.

What is Mesothelioma?

Mesothelioma is a cancer that develops in the mesothelium a thin layer of tissue that is the lining of internal organs. It is caused by exposure to asbestos law, which is a class of fibrous minerals.
