Exposure

A Proctorville, Ohio man claims he suffers from cancer as well as other health issues due to exposure to toxic substances during his employment with csx transportation laryngeal cancer csx transportation leukemia. John Holderby filed suit in Cabell Circuit Court alleging negligence under Federal Employers Liability. The lawsuit seeks damages for compensation with pre-judgment and post-judgment interests. He also was exposed to toxins in degreasers, lubricants, solvents, herbicides and pesticides.

Excessive exposure to diesel exhaust increases the risk of Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. This is especially true for a cancer of B-cells, also known as Multiple Myeloma. A number of studies have found that exposure to diesel exhaust (DE) increases the risk of MM due to chromosomal damage to B lymphocytes. Other DE components like benzene and pristane have been associated with an elevated risk of MM. Studies on case-control as well as cohort studies have demonstrated that those who are exposed for long periods to DE are at higher risk for Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma and other haematopoietic malignancies.

Diagnosis

A number of different tests are available to determine the presence of lymphoma. There isn't any consensus on which tests for the preoperative lymphoma diagnosis. Different approaches has been suggested.

B-cell lymphoma in the Splenic marginal zone, which occurs in the spleen and bone marrow, is most often found in older men. It is a rare non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Natural killer/T cell lymphoma that is characterized by hybrid immune cells that share some characteristics with T cells and are most frequently found in the sinuses or nasal cavities is known as nasal NK/T-cell lymphoma or nasopharyngeal lymphoma. It is among the rarest types of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Mycosis Fungoides can be described as a low-grade non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, which typically affects the skin, but it can also affect the lymph nodes and organs within the body.

Treatment

The prognosis for patients suffering from lymphoma is dependent on the type, location and whether it affects the central nervous system. Primary CNS lymphoma that doesn't involve the dura is typically associated with a higher prognosis than those that do.

The most common lymphoma of the CNS is a diffuse B-cell lymphoma, which can be found in the spleen or bone marrow as well as in the brain. It can be seen in both children and adults. This type of lymphoma can cause various symptoms, such as vomiting, headaches and weakness as well as seizures.

Prognosis

However, if the disease is detected late it may be difficult to treat effectively. It is important to seek medical attention as quickly as you can.
