Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Mulliner Bentley's coachbuilding unit bespoke, has designed a distinctive keycase to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the brand. It is constructed of Dark stained Walnut with Piano Black Veneer and includes an eagle-like "B" paperweight keys, as well as a booklet featuring never-before-seen 1930s 8 Litre images.

Design

Bentley has announced a special specification for cars manufactured after the year 2019 in order to celebrate its centenary. This is referred to as the Centenary Specification. The Bentley Wings are embroidered with Centenary Gold on the headrests as well as the seats and other parts of the car. This adds to the celebration. Secure-A-Key is also included to prevent keyless entry theft. The device is placed inside the remote control key fob and stops it after a couple of minutes of inactivity. This stops thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices which can unlock and start the vehicle.

Bentley estimates that it takes around 500 man-hours to craft and put together the typical Mulsanne. Drivers have to park their cars manually, not using sensors built-in to direct them to parallel and perpendicular spots.

At the event, bentley valet key displayed its Mulliner personalization capabilities using one particular example that was the Mulsanne W.O. Edition, which pays homage to the man who founded the company, William Osler Bentley. The limited edition cars include a key that displays an item from the 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
